SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7 WON’T SYNC GOOGLE CONTACTS AND CALENDAR I have a Note 7 and I cannot get my Google accounts to sync completely. Every aspect of the account syncs except my contacts and calendar. I have reset my settings, restarted my phone, I’ve tried a factory rest, I’ve called Verizon Tech Coach, and I still have this problem. When I go to accounts in settings I get an error that says “Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.” but then it never comes back and never syncs even if I try and force it to do so. This has been going on for the past 12 days.
Solution: Hi Helene. Google services including Contacts and Calendar largely works properly in most Android devices so the problem may be isolated to your device. Although we don’t work for Google, we know that their services sync almost flawlessly. For example, whenever there’s any change in Google Contacts, the modifications should sync with all devices you use your contacts on. Adding your Google account to your device will automatically sync both your contacts and calendar. If that’s not happening on your Note 7 and you’ve already factory reset as well as re-added your Google account, you may want to contact Google for direct assistance.
Alternatively, you can install a separate Google app for your calendar from the Google Play Store as a remedy.
